I can see big brothers big sisters being a leadership experience. If the activity involved helping with homework, that can also count as teaching. However, if they ask you list your teaching experience hours or list your leadership experience hours, don't double count.

When you say "I'm trying to make sure I have a variety of things on my AMCAS application before I can fill it out", do keep in mind that quality trumps quantity in your activities list. You are better off being involved in a few activities that you genuinely enjoy and are committed to, rather than having a huge list and making it seem like you are just trying to "check boxes". Adcoms want to see that you are doing something because it means something to you, not because you think they want to see it.
