muslim student paying for medical school

Hi everyone,

I wanted to get some opinions on how some Muslim students have paid for medical school. I know that options are limited (loans, family help, military, scholarship,etc). But how did some of you guys pay for medical school? Did you take out some type of Muslim loan?

I am hesitant about taking out a loan, but are there Muslim loans out there? I have looked into full tuition scholarships and these tend to be limited to internal medicine, psychiatry, OB/GYN, family medicine, but I'm interested in going into general surgery.
