How many academic updates can you do?

Am I allowed to simply update my classes or will it shut me out and not allow me to get back in.. I am like scared to even open the classwork option lmfaoo.. Does anyone now how it works? Also some of my course work I had planned has changed and I made different decisions in some of the classes I will be taking. Do you think this will have an effect on my application?
