Worked in 2 different labs at my school from 2010~2011 and 2012~2013 during school year (about 100 ~200 hours for each lab)
Summer research internship at top 15 medical school in 2012 and 2013 in full time setting and got 2nd author pub
TA for one of my science classes for one semester in 2013 (about 30 hours)
Mentoring at risk youths in 2013 and 2014 for two semesters (about 30 hours)
Served food and gave supplies to homeless women at a clinic for homeless from 2011~2013 (about 200 hours)
Church choir musician from high school until 2014 (500+hours)
Various academic awards for my high GPA and phi beta kappa
I was a competitive musician in high school. Music is my hobby/passion and makes me stand out from others.
Since graduation, I have been working at NIH as a full time postbac researcher and got one pub.
I also have been volunteering at my church as a sunday school teacher. I teach about 15~20 5th grade students for several hours per week.
I am wondering how I can improve my app for next year's application cycle. I know that I need to improve my mcat but I was wondering how I can improve my ECs.
Should I continue working at NIH? Should I try something else like Americorps or medical scribing?
