Calculus for undergraduate

I took AP calculus senior year in highschool, although did not take the AP exam. I do understand the principles to calculus, do I need it to get into dental schools like UB, UCLA, UCSF?? Hate calculus, my dentist said it was pointless and that stats is a lot more beneficial
